It’s two weeks into 2015, how are you doing on your New Year Resolution?
The number one thing people try to do to start the New Year right involves some sort of promise to themselves to eat better. The word “deli” usually doesn’t spring to mind when counting calories, but here at Lehman’s we have many options to keep you on the right track. Healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring. It can be done in many different ways, like cutting back on your portion size, eating less red meat (or not eating meat altogether) or following a low-carb diet. Sometimes it can be challenging, but we are here to help you maintain your goals.
A little portion control can go a long way. A perfect solution to enjoy your favorite Lehman’s sub and manage your diet is to order “half”. Most of the sandwiches and subs on our extensive menu are offered in half sizes. Same great taste but with less guilt!
Many of us think that avoiding red meat is important for optimal health. Did you know that we cook our own Turkey and Chicken Breast? Our Chicken is 100% White Breast Meat and cooked to perfection in flavorful seasoning right here in our kitchen.
Eating meat is not the only way to get protein. Broccoli, Lentils and Chickpeas are all a good source too. Our sides like Broccoli Salad and our new Seven Grain Salad are simple and delicious. Lehman’s Red Pepper Hummus is very popular and comes in a variety of different ways. You can get it alone, with Veggies or with Pita Wedges.
We offer Veggie Sandwiches and Veggies Subs as well. But for those on a low-carb diet, there are well over a dozen sensational Entrée Salads that are made fresh daily. If there is a particular salad that you want and do not see it, just ask us and we will make it for you! No croutons, no problem.
Ask us if you have any questions or for tips on how we can make your choices more healthy.
“Don’t think of Lehman’s Deli for only indulgent foods, think of us for lighter, natural food. In recent years we are offering more lighter fare and incorporating vegetarian dishes.”- George
